Financial Services Authority (FSA) - Retail Distribution Review

On 31st December 2012, the world of Financial Advice changed following the introduction of the FSA's Retail Distribution Review. This review has made all advisers work differently to the 'Large Commission' format historically, now being Fee Based instead. Qualifications are now also higher for all Advisers wishing to be classed as Independent. Indications show that up to one third of all Advisers will leave the industry because of these changes, thus leaving many clients without an Adviser, having paid significant commissions for their services.
